SRU remembers day America changed.
Between noon and 2 pm today, millions of Americans will pause to remember just what they were doing at the time 50 years ago when new flashes and bulletins hit radio and television stations across the country announcing that President John F. Kennedy had been assassinated while riding in an open motorcade through the downtown streets of Dallas, Texas. Although many of us students were not directly affected by this event, we can sympathize and know what it's like when something of this significance occurs. This day changed many peoples lives, just like 9/11 changed many of students our ages lives.
Hey Courtney love the blog! long time time follower first time commenter. JFK is my favorite president of all time. The amount of work he was able to accomplish in his short tenure was incredible and inspiring to all. The day he was assassinated was a major tragedy if that would not of happened who knows how are country would be today! I 100 percent agree that the only thing comparable to this level of tragedy would be 9/11 where were you when the plane struck the first tower?
