AT 8 am. to closing time at Bailey Library, there will be an Altered Books exhibition. Theree will be a selection of creative altered books made by SRU students in advanced fibers class. This event will continue through November 22.
At 9:30 a.m. SRu will host annual Native American Celebration Day with representatives from the Pittsburgh-based Council of Three Rivers American Indian Center. This event will be held in the Smith Student Centere.
From Noon to 5 p.m. There will be an annual SRU Student Art Sale. This sale will continue through November 22nd.
I think this a great blog to have. I know that there are other resources out there for students to find out what is going on in campus, but not everyone really knows how to use them. Also the events that you post might not have had the advertisement like the bigger events. Sometimes the smaller events and programs get lost in the big shuffle and by posting the events on here, it allows atleast this class to know what is going on!
ReplyDeleteHaving school events are important for a university. It is able to bring the students together. Whether it is sporting events or clubs and organization events. Also having updates about events is important so that people will actually go to these events. There is always something going on at SRU.
ReplyDeleteThere are so many great events going on at Slippery Rock that can include a vast majority of the students. Anything from Native American seminars to athletic events. There is something for everyone and it is so important to go to these. Every event can have an impact on you. Getting to know whats happening on campus is a really great thing!
